Recently I listened to a song called Faithful. I played that song over and over, until it rang deep inside me. That song spoke to my heart and put me in remembrance of the goodness of God, that God is always faithful to His Word.
The Amplified Bible says in Hebrews 10:23, “So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His Word.” In the light of God’s Word, pay close attention to His promises. Treat God’s Word with great respect and seize and hold fast to His precious Word. Continue to meditate and think on the faithfulness of God.
“Don’t doubt God. If you must doubt something, doubt your doubts…” – F.F. Bosworth
D.L. Moody once said, “Is there any reason why you should not have faith in God? Has God ever broken one of His promises? I defy any infidel or unbeliever to place his finger on a single promise God ever made, and failed to fulfill.” Evangelist F.F. Bosworth said it this way, “Don’t doubt God. If you must doubt something, DOUBT YOUR DOUBTS, because they are unreliable, but never doubt God, nor His Word.”
I Kings 8:56 says, “. . . there hath not failed one word of all His good promise.” Notice that we cannot separate God from His Word. They are both reliable, trustworthy and true. Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
Remember, satan is a liar. Jesus said so. In the midst of problems, continue to think on God’s Word. Continue to use God’s promises. Let us seize the Bread of Life. Lay hold of it and cherish it.
Feed on His faithfulness!
God is faithful in everything He said He’d do. Oh, how true God’s Word is. He is faithful in every way. God has always provided just when we needed it. The Amplified Bible says in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need (appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it.)”
Here’s what I want you to do if you are needing a breakthrough:
First: Look to the Word! Get your eyes back on the Word. Find the scriptural promises that cover what you need.
Second: Meditate on God’s Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to quicken the Word to you as you ponder it, mutter it, roll it over and over inside and speak it out loud. When negative circumstances rise to distract you, instead of heading for disaster, head for victory! How? By looking to God’s Word. Keep your eyes fastened on His unchanging Word.
Third: Seize, hold fast and retain God’s Word without wavering. Remember, there is no victory in compromise. A minister once said, “Once you’ve taken a stand on God’s Word, if you’re willing to stand forever, you won’t have to stand very long.” Jeremiah 1:12 says, “I will hasten My Word to perform it.”
Fourth: Don’t be weary in well-doing! Galatians 6:9 says, “in due season we shall reap, if we faith not.” We will not grow weary and faith in well-doing if we keep our eyes on Jesus and His Word. Keep thanking God for the answer. Praise is the voice of faith.
Fifth: Acting on the Word brings Jesus on the scene. Obedience to God’s Word is how the treasures of heaven are released. We walk by faith, not by sight. Just do it. This is your time to receive from God. Get ready! Get ready to receive from God.
I am expecting God to bless and meet your needs, wants and desires. Remember He is faithful Who promised. He will bring the vision to pass He has given you as you follow Him.
